Day 1 – Saturday, 28 February 2026
Arrival & Transfer to Negombo

Upon arrival at Bandaranaike International Airport, you will be warmly welcomed by Sri Lankan Airlines Crew before being transferred to your beachfront hotel in Negombo. (Duration – approx. 15min)

After a long journey, the rest of the day is reserved for rest and relaxation. Unwind by the ocean, enjoy the hotel’s amenities, or simply take in the coastal breeze at your own pace. In the evening, gather for a welcome dinner at the hotel to begin the journey together.

Day 02 – Sunday, 1 March 2026
Exploring Negombo

After breakfast at the hotel, we’re off to spend the day exploring Negombo — a town rich in colonial charm and coastal culture. Next is a visit to the historic Dutch Canal and the beautifully frescoed St. Mary’s Church, before we head to the bustling fish market to witness the vibrant daily life of local fishermen. For a deeper connection with the area join us on an optional boat ride through the peaceful Negombo Lagoon, passing traditional fishing villages and lush mangroves.

 

In the evening, unwind with a sunset cocktail cruise through the lagoon’s tranquil waterways. As the sky turns golden, sip on local drinks and soak in the natural beauty — a perfect blend of relaxation and local flavour.

Day 03 – Monday, 2 March 2026
Negombo | Pinnawala | Dambulla

After breakfast, we will depart Negombo and head inland towards Pinnawala, where we’ll visit the famous Pinnawala Elephant Orphanage. Here, you’ll have the chance to observe rescued elephants up close — watch them bathe in the river, interact with their caretakers, and learn about the sanctuary’s conservation efforts.

Following lunch en route we’ll continue our journey to Dambulla where you’ll get to explore the magnificent Dambulla Cave Temple, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Nestled within a massive rock outcrop, the temple complex houses 153 Buddha statues and intricate murals that date back over 2,000 years, offering a fascinating glimpse into Sri Lanka’s rich spiritual and artistic heritage.

Day 04 – Tuesday, 3 March 2026
Dambulla | Sigiriya | Minneriya

Today begins with a visit to one of Sri Lanka’s most iconic landmarks — the Sigiriya Rock Fortress. This UNESCO World Heritage Site rises dramatically from the plains and features ancient water gardens, well-preserved frescoes, and breathtaking panoramic views from its summit.


After the climb, immerse yourself in rural Sri Lankan life with an authentic village experience. Travel by tuk-tuk and traditional boat through scenic countryside and enjoy a delicious home-cooked Sri Lankan lunch prepared by villagers.


In the afternoon, embark on an exciting 4x4 safari in Minneriya National Park, famed for its large gatherings of wild elephants. Keep your eyes peeled for other wildlife such as deer, monkeys, and a variety of bird species.

Day 05 – Wednesday, 4 March 2026
Dambulla | Kandy | Nuwara Eliya

We’ll say goodbye to Dambulla this morning and journey toward Kandy, the cultural heart of Sri Lanka, nestled in the lush central highlands.

En routes we’ll stop at a spice garden to discover the island’s rich history of herbs and spices where you will learn all about traditional Ayurvedic uses.

In Kandy you’re invited to visit the revered Temple of the Tooth Relic, one of Buddhism’s most sacred sites, believed to house a tooth of the Buddha himself. The temple’s serene setting and spiritual significance offer a memorable experience.

 

After lunch we will continue with a scenic drive to Nuwara Eliya, often called “Little England” due to its colonial architecture, cool climate, and picturesque landscapes of rolling tea plantations and misty hills.

Day 06 – Thursday, 5 March 2026
Nuwara Eliya

We start the day with a refreshing morning trek to Single Tree Hill, one of Nuwara Eliya’s most scenic viewpoints. The gentle climb rewards you with sweeping views of the town, tea plantations, and distant mountains — a perfect way to connect with the natural beauty of Sri Lanka’s highlands.

After your trek you’re invited to join us for an elegant brunch at Jetwing St. Andrews, a charming colonial-style hotel that captures the old-world charm of “Little England.”

 

In the afternoon we delve into one of Sri Lanka’s most celebrated traditions with a visit to a local tea factory and plantation. Walk through lush tea fields, learn about the intricate tea production process, and sample some of the finest Ceylon teas. With its cool climate, crisp air, and postcard-perfect landscapes, Nuwara Eliya continues to enchant both locals and travellers alike.

Day 07 – Friday, 6 March 2026
Nuwara Eliya | Ravana Falls | Tissamaharama

After breakfast we’ll say our farewells to the misty hills of Nuwara Eliya and embark on a scenic coach journey to the southern plains of Tissamaharama.

 

Along the way we will stop at the cascading Ravana Falls which is one of Sri Lanka’s most famous waterfalls, steeped in mythology from the Ramayana epic tale. There will be ample time to take in the dramatic beauty of the falls before we continue our drive through changing landscapes as we drop towards the southern plains

Feeling hungry? We’ll be calling in for a casual and flavorful lunch at a local Rotti place where you can sample freshly made Sri Lankan flatbreads filled with savory ingredients.

 

If luck is on our side, we may get a sighting of wild elephants alongside the road as we continue towards Tissamaharama before checking in at the hotel for dinner and a restful evening. (Hotel details pending confirmation)

Day 08 – Saturday, 7 March 2026
Tissamaharama

After the busy schedule of the previous days, the morning is yours to enjoy at your leisure. Relax around the pool or if the fancy takes you take a short walk out to Yoda Wewa, a lake abundant with bird and wildlife.

In the evening, gear up for an exhilarating jeep safari in Yala National Park — one of Sri Lanka’s most iconic wildlife reserves. Renowned for having one of the world’s highest leopard densities, the park is also home to elephants, crocodiles, sloth bears, and a remarkable variety of birdlife.

After the safari we will return to the hotel for dinner and an evening to enjoy as you wish.

Day 09 – Sunday, 8 March 2026
Tissamaharama | Galle | Colombo

After breakfast at the hotel, begin your journey to Colombo, traveling along the southern coastline.

Following your exploration of this charming coastal enclave, continue your drive northward to Colombo.


Upon arrival in Colombo, enjoy a brief city tour before check-in. Drive past key landmarks such as Independence Square, Galle Face Green, the Old Parliament, and the Dutch Hospital Precinct — a vibrant area filled with shops, restaurants, and colonial charm.


As evening falls, celebrate the conclusion of your journey with a special farewell dinner accompanied by a cultural event, showcasing traditional music and dance. Colombo’s unique blend of contemporary energy and colonial charm, with its bustling streets and hidden cafes, offers a fitting finale to your Sri Lankan adventure.

Day 10 – Monday, 9 March 2026

Breakfast at the hotel and proceed to airport for the departure flight.
